The cathedral is a completed Gothic cathedral. However, not all the components date from the Middle Ages. The cathedral was completed during the Industrial Revolution.

Nowhere is this more impressive than on a guided tour of the Cologne Cathedral’s rooftops. Expecting a historic wooden roof structure? Prepare to be surprised by a delicate iron framework that is older than the Eiffel Tower. High above the city, explore hidden tower spaces with storage areas and workshops used by the cathedral’s master builders. And take in one of the most spectacular views Cologne has to offer.
