Meditation

To perceive mindfully, calmly and lovingly what I notice about myself: my body, my feelings, my mind. Relax into the perceived reality and stay with it.

The very simple and original way of meditation of the Ashram of Jesus (www.ashram-jesu.de) combines the poles of collection and openness; it leads into the depth of the person and brings one into contact with the existential ground. With increasing practice, even in the midst of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, one can dock on to this power from our depths with a brief pause, and act in life with growing freedom and closeness.

We practise in the rhythm of alternating sitting and walking; at the end of each session there is space for questions and exchange in conversation.

Wednesdays 8.00 - 9.30 pm from 18th October 2023 to 31st January 2024

The meditation course will not take place during the Christmas holidays on 27th December 2023 and 3rd January 2024.

Individual spiritual assistance

Everything that happens in life can be discussed in spiritual accompaniment.

Spiritual accompaniment wants to help people to become more aware of their own concrete lives and to become more sensitive to God’s voice, to his call and his mission in everyday life.

After an initial non-binding conversation to get to know each other, further conversations can be arranged individually according to need and desire, for example every four to six weeks. Confidentiality is guaranteed.

Eucharist

Heilige Messe CRUX Kirche

The Eucharist: Our source for everyday life and living

This is what we would like to celebrate together with you. Tuesday noon and Wednesday evening as well as every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in a more compact and quiet form, a pause in everyday life with the possibility to gather together and exchange afterwards. On Tuesday at noon, we invite you to join us for lunch in our cafeteria before returning to the university campus.

On Sunday evening we will celebrate the highlight of our week: the City Youth Mass, the Sunday Mass for students and young people in Cologne. With good, innovative music, with hopefully even better impulses, and above all with Jesus Christ for a powerful start into the coming week. Afterwards, we cordially invite you to the CRUX Café for snacks and cool drinks.

We warmly welcome you to both locations - KHG Church and CRUX Church - and look forward to celebrating with you!

  • Tuesday 12.15pm Midday Mass in the KHG Church followed by lunch
  • Wednesday 6pm Workday Mass in the CRUX Church
  • Donnerstag 18.00 Uhr Werktagsmesse in der KHG Kirche (jeden 2. und 4. Donnerstag im Monat)
  • Sunday 6pm City Youth Mass in the CRUX Church

Heart:Beat – NEW!

Heart:Beat is our new Gott:Zeit format with Johannes. A musically densely packed evening to arrive and join in. In a growing collective of young artists, we play current, covered and self-written pop songs that encourage dialogue and reflection on Christian faith.

Gott:Zeit

Our GOTT:ZEIT takes place every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 6pm for all students and university members, followed by the opportunity to get together and exchange ideas.

Generally, we cordially invite you to participate: to bring in the topics and concerns that occupy you in word, prayer and song, or to try out new forms of expression in the liturgy. We are also always happy to have the musical support of committed musicians and singers. It is about connecting faith and life.

Every 1st Thursday Friday of the month we celebrate HEART:BEAT (for more info see menu item Heart:Beat)

Every 3rd Thursday of the month we celebrate TAIZÉ:PRAYER.
