We want to get creative and push back against the pressure: with color and sand, we let go of what has built up and create space for lightness.

Not by hitting a wall head-on, but with sand in your hands – new, creative forms of expression can emerge that relieve and release.

Together, we create a space where energy doesn’t get stuck but can flow – and where tension transforms into something creative.

Taizé in Łódź Silvester 2026/27

Together to Łódź!

Taizé brings young people from all over Europe together to pray, connect, reflect and celebrate.

Fancy a few days of Taizé, meeting new people, music, prayer and community? Then join us for the Taizé European Youth Meeting in Łódź!

The trip is for young adults aged 18 to 27 and is organised by Jubilate Oberberg together with KHG Köln and the youth pastoral centre CRUX Köln.

The Trip at a Glance

27 DEC 2026 at 10 pm Departure from Cologne
29 DEC 2026 until 1 JAN 2027: Taizé European Youth Meeting in Łódź
01.01.2027: Return to Cologne
02.01.2027: Arrival in Cologne in the early morning

We’ll travel together by coach to Łódź and take part in the full programme of the European Youth Meeting.

Are you over 27?
You can still register. If there are seats available on the coach, people aged 28 and over can also join. You’ll initially be placed on the waiting list.

Participation fee

€299 for 18–27-year-olds from the Archdiocese of Cologne
€399 for those aged 28 and over and participants from other dioceses

Thursday, 24 December 2026, at 10 pm. Followed by an Agape celebration.

NEW YEAR'S RECEPTION
Sunday, 3 January 2027, at 6 pm, with a Taizé prayer service. Followed by a get-together at the CRUX Café.

The KHG will be closed for the Christmas holidays from 23 December 2026 to 6 January 2027. We warmly invite you to celebrate Christmas with us at CRUX and wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas season.

Lights, Mulled Wine & Good Company

Advent is the perfect time to spend an evening together and enjoy the special atmosphere of the Christmas season.

On Wednesday, 16 December, we’re heading to the Christmas market at St. Aposteln together. Look forward to twinkling lights, the delicious smell of roasted almonds, a cup of mulled wine and good conversations in great company.

Whether you’ve been part of KHG and CRUX for a while or simply feel like meeting new people, come along and enjoy a cosy evening with us in the heart of the Advent season.

Advent wreath making

Advent, Advent…

With all the pre-Christmas stress, there is sometimes little time to prepare for Christmas and Christmas Eve.

In a cosy atmosphere with hot wine and biscuits, we create the most beautiful wreaths for the Advent season.

We will provide the fir greenery, wreath bases, wire, and glue. Please bring your own candles and decorations.

In cooperation with the Mentorat.

Rhetoric Workshop

Nervous before speaking in front of others? Racing heart, sweaty palms, uncertainty... Those days are over! At our workshop, you’ll learn how to make a confident impression from the very first moment and get your message across effectively, whether you’re giving a presentation, taking an oral exam or attending a job interview.

Mental techniques, breathing exercises, body language, posture, volume and eye contact are just some of the topics we’ll explore. Expect a practical, supportive and pressure-free day where you can try things out and build confidence.
