Bible Dinner - Soulfood & Spirit

 ‘You invite me and set the table for me. You welcome me like a host welcomes his guest and fill my cup to the brim!’ (Psalm 23)

We want to have dinner with you.
Get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere, arrive and get full. Afterwards we would like to read a short piece from the Bible and share our thoughts on it. Then we will finish with dessert!

If you like, you can bring something to eat. Or someone you would like to spend time with. Everyone is welcome.

Lunch.Deep.Talk.

Big questions. Open conversations. New perspectives.

What gives my life meaning?

Lunch.Deep.Talk. is an Alpha course for students: Sieben Treffen, um gemeinsam über Gott, Glauben und die großen Fragen des Lebens ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Wir laden dich ein zum gemeinsamen Lunch und kommen dabei ganz unkompliziert miteinander ins Gespräch.
Then there’s a short talk followed by plenty of time to share, discuss and discover new perspectives.
You don’t have to believe anything or know anything.
Ask anything, be critical, listen, discuss or simply be curious.

Open to students of all denominations and to anyone wondering if there is more to life. Come along.
Have lunch. Ask questions. Keep thinking.

International Dinner

You’re invited to our International Dinner! 🌍🍽️ 
Come celebrate your culture with people from all around the world! Everyone will bring traditional food or drinks, share music and dances from their home countries and enjoy a fun evening together! 🎶🍛💃

All you need to do to participate is to bring a traditional dish or drink from your country and share it with the group. Please prepare your food at home, as there will only be very limited options to warm it up.

Open MIC Night


Your stage. Your ideas. Your perspective.

Show us what moves you and what you’re passionate about. Music, poetry slam, performance or something completely different: the stage is open to trainees, apprentices, students and young artists from Cologne.

In our sculptural church of St John XXIII or the Aula Lounge, creative people come together to share their talents and inspire each other. 
Take the stage or simply join us in the audience.

Faith & Fiction Reading Lounge

What happens when literature asks the big questions of life? How can stories and personal writings open up new perspectives on faith, doubt, hope and the search for meaning?

On Tuesday evenings, we’ll read and discuss texts by three very different authors:

  • William P. Young – The Shack
  • Etty Hillesum – The Diaries
  • Stephen E. King - selected short stories

Three perspectives, three literary worlds and very different ways of approaching God, faith and life.

Come along, share your thoughts and discover how literature can raise new questions and open up unexpected perspectives on faith and life.

No previous knowledge required. Materials provided.

Paul's Pilgrimage

Weltjugendtag 2027 in Seoul

From 3 to 8 August 2027, Seoul will host the 41st World Youth Day under the motto “Take courage: I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) Join thousands of young people from around the world for an international celebration of faith.

Following the wonderful experience of World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, this international gathering of young people will be a very special celebration of faith and joy, especially in light of the many crises facing our world today. We warmly invite you to be part of it.

The two-week trip from 27 July to 10 August 2027 will be accompanied by the joint KHG and CRUX team.

Zwischen Algorithmus und Mensch

AI, Human Dignity, and the “Atrophy of the Heart”

Artificial intelligence is transforming our world at a rapid pace. But what does this development mean for our understanding of the human person? In his encyclical Magnifica humanitas , Pope Leo XIV raises the question of what we must not lose in an increasingly technological world.

At the heart of the evening are the dignity of the human person, human limitations and vulnerability, and the question of what distinguishes us beyond performance, efficiency, and technological capability.

Together with the social ethicist Prof. Dr. Dr. Elmar Nass, we will explore the opportunities and limits of artificial intelligence and discuss the role of humanity, conscience, and responsibility in a digital future.

Questions and contributions from the audience are warmly welcome.

We look forward to an engaging and open discussion with you.
