Hiking in the Eifel

When? 8th November until 10th November 2024
Where? Schleiden, Vogelsang 44, 53937 Schleiden, Deutschland

We are staying in a self-catering house run by the German Alpine Club. From there we want to go on 1-2 hiking tours (approx. 15-20km). We will arrive on Friday, either in the morning or in the afternoon, and return on Sunday lunchtime.

The price of 60 euros includes two nights' accommodation (four-bed room), all meals and travel.

You will receive more detailed information on arrival and departure, route descriptions, packing list etc. after registration.

Museumsnacht Köln „Interference“

KHG Church Hl. Johannes XXIII.

Sculptural architecture. Geometric shapes, clear lines, simplicity. The upheaval of the time at the end of the 1960s was physically realised in the church building. Starting from the tree of life in the centre of the interior, the architecture unfolds and creates a unique atmosphere and tranquillity. A church as a walk-in sculpture that is not only used by the student chaplaincies as a liturgical space, but is also open as a place for dialogue, encounters and the art of young talents.

„Interference“

An immersive light installation. In challenging times, the exhibition poses key questions about the strength of society and the role of the individual. How are we connected as a society? What values and forces hold us together in a fragmented world? Through the use of media, light and sound, intuitive connections are activated that make the relevance of cohesion tangible. Visitors can actively control the light and sound and thus interact directly with the artwork. The interactive installation is a joint project by Studio.absTime and Ruben Tsangaris.

When? Museumsnacht 2. November 2024 from 7pm to 2am

Emergency Shelter WS 24/25

In cooperation with the ASTA of University Cologne we set up again our emergency accomodation for the start of the semester. As the name says this is an emergency solution and not dedicated for a long term stay.

Start is Monday, September 30, 2024 until Friday, October 25, 2024 (extension if necessary).

We offer joint learning phases and breaks to promote learning in a relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of power sockets, free Wi-Fi, food and drinks and a waffle station during the breaks.

Space to relax or take a short power nap with blankets and pillows.

Sport & Spirit – AcroYoga

Free training acroyoga

We meet every Tuesday between 18.30-21.00 for free training in the KHG sports hall. This means that there are no instructors and no guidance.

Acroyoga thrives on mutual exchange. The level of experience of the participants varies greatly and beginners are also very welcome.
As it is not a supervised training programme, you are welcome to come along for just an hour to get some exercise or work on your handstand.
