Am 2. November sind 180 Gäste bei uns in die Museumsnacht gestartet. Insgesamt 350 Besucher*innen haben die Ausstellung „Interference“ in der KHG Kirche gesehen.
Wir danken der Museumsnacht, die uns im ersten Jahr direkt als Highlight in ihr Programm aufgenommen hat.
Wir danken allen Helfer*innen, die unermüdlich im Einsatz waren und das Event ermöglicht haben.
Ganz besonderen Dank gilt den drei Künstler*innen Ruben Tsangaris, Anna Balthasar und Michelle Bocker, die mit Ihrer Licht- und Soundinstallation „Interference“ die KHG Kirche wahrhaftig in ein begehbares Kunstwerk verwandelt haben.
Kunst macht sichtbar, gibt Emotionen Raum, öffnet unsere Sinne für die Schönheit und das Transzendente und stärkt Gemeinschaft. Damit ist Sie ganz wesentlicher Teil unseres Menschseins.

Jubilee of the youth
From 30th July to 6th August 2025 in Rome.
‘I invite all the young people of the world to Rome in 2025 to celebrate the Jubilee of Youth together,’ were the words with which the Holy Father surprised the 1.5 million young people and young adults at the sending-out Mass for World Youth Day in Lisbon.
Pilgrimage to Rome for the Holy Year by bus, train, bike or on foot.

The film will be shown in the original English Version with German subtitles.
We would like to cordially invite you to the film screening in the KHG church, where parts of the film were shot. This will be followed by a talk with the Cologne-based film production company augenschein and the theologian Prof. Dr. Dr. Jochen Sautermeister, during which we will learn more about the filming and development of the project and delve deeper into the topic. The talk will be held in German.

In a near future where life is optimised and controlled, parenthood is subject to a strict approval process. Sculptural architecture. Geometric shapes, clear lines, simplicity. The upheaval of the time at the end of the 1960s was physically realised in the church building. Starting from the tree of life in the centre of the interior, the architecture unfolds and creates a unique atmosphere and tranquillity. A church as a walk-in sculpture that is not only used by the student chaplaincies as a liturgical space, but is also open as a place for dialogue, encounters and the art of young talents.
An immersive light installation. In challenging times, the exhibition poses key questions about the strength of society and the role of the individual. How are we connected as a society? What values and forces hold us together in a fragmented world? Through the use of media, light and sound, intuitive connections are activated that make the relevance of cohesion tangible. Visitors can actively control the light and sound and thus interact directly with the artwork. The interactive installation is a joint project by Studio.absTime and Ruben Tsangaris.
